Individual and couples conversations

Understand the different starting points, participants and privacy questions before you book.

Original Ayema platform guide · Optional information, not clinical advice

Different conversations can have different goals

An individual appointment focuses on the member's own concerns. A couples appointment involves both partners' perspectives and agreed goals. The practitioner discusses whether joint work is suitable; choosing a couples service does not commit either person to a particular relationship outcome.

Discuss participation and confidentiality first

Ask who will attend, how consent is obtained and what can be shared between sessions. Both partners should freely agree to take part. Do not add another person to a session without discussing it with the practitioner.

  • What does each person hope to discuss?
  • What are the boundaries of confidentiality?
  • What should happen if someone wants to pause?

Know the limits of this local room

The current Ayema room supports one member device and one practitioner device. Partners attend together from the member device. Separate partner accounts and multi-person calling have not yet been implemented. Confirm arrangements before booking.
