Understanding starts with a conversation
An experienced mental health professional can discuss concerns about control, distress and the impact of behaviour. An online checklist does not establish a diagnosis. You can ask about the practitioner's experience and assessment approach before choosing care.
Care, learning and community have different roles
A professional appointment provides an individual conversation about suitability. Educational courses explain choices and help you prepare questions. Peer groups offer community participation. You can discuss appropriate options with a suitable practitioner.
Choose what you share
Your private Care preparation stays with the appointment and its assigned practitioner. It is not used for matchmaking. You can choose a faith-sensitive or nonreligious approach where available, and decide how much to share in a first conversation.
